General Membership in the P3 Association shall be available for any private entity, not-for-profit organization or other person not otherwise eligible for or choosing to apply for Sponsor Membership willing and able to make a significant contribution to the activities of the P3 Association and to the furtherance of the P3 Association’s purposes.

The Applicant shall meet the requirements established by the Board of Directors from time to time, including submitting to the Chairman and the Executive Director of the P3 Association a brief written statement requesting to become a General Member. The written statement shall include the following:

  • The Applicant’s commercial and business reputation, specifically in relation to Public-Private Partnerships;
  • The Applicant’s technical and professional experience working with Public Partnerships, other Public-Private Partnerships Associations, and Government Concessions;
  • The Applicant’s reasons for requesting General Membership in the Association;
  • Whether the Applicant possesses a Public-Private Partnership Agreement in any country other than Puerto Rico;
  • How the inclusion of the Applicant as a General Member would benefit or advance the Association’s goals, interests and purposes; and
  • The benefits the Association will receive for including the Applicant as a General Member.

After receiving the written statement, the Executive Director shall provide the Board of Directors with a recommendation on whether or not the Board should consider the Applicant’s General Membership request.

If the Executive Director provides the Board of Directors a positive recommendation, the Board will proceed to make a determination on the Applicant’s General Membership request based on the abovementioned criteria and any other criteria that the Board of Directors believes is necessary to make a determination on whether to approve or deny the General Membership request.
